Brief Paperwork
Upon entering the office, you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff. We’ll have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself, your condition, and your goals with care. Life In Motion Chiropractic offers our paperwork online so it can be completed conveniently in your home or office. We have digital paperwork to be emailed and texted before your first appointment.
You can download the paperwork by Clicking Here.
Consultation
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will begin a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and future recommendations.
History and Examination
To determine your problem, the doctor will ask you various health-related questions. Next, several specialized tests will determine which parts of your spine and nervous system are affected, how your body moves, and the underlying cause of your pain.
Digital X-ray Studies
Your specific state of health may require us to take X-rays to either rule out a severe condition or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Our facility utilizes the most up-to-date technology in digital X-rays, allowing the most precise spinal images.
Home Instructions
Before leaving, we’ll give patients instructions on certain activities or procedures to be performed at home. These may include instructions on applying ice or heat, avoiding certain activities or positions, and home exercises and/or stretches.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Future recommendations will also be discussed during this time. Treatment options may include:
- Chiropractic adjustments
- Home rehabilitative exercises
- Massage therapy
- Soft tissue work
- Class 4 laser therapy
- Kinesiology Taping
- Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
Care often consists of a series of visits, followed by a re-examination. The re-exam compares you to your initial visit to ensure that we have an objective improvement in your condition and are meeting your recovery goals.
